formspring: vlog questions

for some reason your videos wont play sound
This is going to sound super obvious and perhaps a bit mean (I don't mean it that way! Sorry), but is your computer muted? Is the volume up on YouTube? It works for me and some friends I had check, so I don't know what's up. :\ Sorry I can't figure out a less dumb answer.

Will you be keeping up with your vlogs while your down in Disney world?
Ideally!! I'm saving up for a Flip HD to record my shenanigans down there, haha.

What are you going to do next?

Not much happened today. Did some homework, chatted with some people, got accepted to the FAQ program. You know, no big deal.

WAIT, WHAT?

YOU READ THAT RIGHT.

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

I actually got TWO purple emails. The first came with the subject line "Thank You For Interviewing." I opened it, no big deal, looking for the link to take the survey again because I wanted to write more about the E-Pres and how it needs to be updated. So I just scroll right past the "Congratulations" and am thinking, "Huh. There's no survey link! This isn't the right... OH MY GOD WAIT THIS IS AN ACCEPTANCE!!!!"

And then I got another one that actually said "You're Invited!" in the subject line, so I knew it wasn't a fluke. Only 11 days after interviewing, too! Super-quick turnaround.

I was accepted into FSFB, which wasn't in my top 3, but that's okay because I'm super excited anyway! I've only heard good things about it, and with an abundance of awesome restaurants in the parks and resorts I'm sure I'll enjoy my role.

And of course, there are the auditions in March!

CONGRATS to all who were accepted today, and good luck to those still waiting!
Have a magical day!

Info Post #7: The Waiting Game.

I watched the e-presentation, applied as soon as the application was up, prepped for the interview, and then interviewed as best I could. And now... it's all out of my control.

This is the hard part. The Waiting Game. Luckily, there are a multitude of distractions available to keep you occupied until you find out whether or not you'll be heading down to Florida soon!

  1. Do homework. Lots of it. OH WAIT, THAT'S JUST ME AND MY RIDICULOUS SCHEDULE. LOLZ.
  2. YouTube. I LOVE YouTube. A lot. The sheer number of hours I have wasted away on that site.... I don't think I even want to know. Between vlogs, attraction ridethroughs, parades, fireworks, and meet & greet videos, there's virtually no end to the time you can waste.
  3. Watch the E-Presentation. Multiple Times. Tara gets less annoying with each view, somehow.
  4. Facebook! Join the facebook group for your program (like Fall 2010 for me) or creep on past groups.
  5. Chat! There are currently two meebo chatrooms for the Fall 2010 CP. Comment with your email if you want the info.
  6. Podcasts - there are a bunch of these out there if you're into that sort of thing. I'm not a huge podcast person myself, but I know a lot of people who enjoy Inside the Magic.
  7. Download Google Earth and browse the 3D rendering of Disney World.
  8. Order the Vacation Planning DVD from disneyworld.com.
  9. Read! David Koening (Mouse Tails 1 & 2, Realityland) and Mousejunkies by Bill Burke are two of my favorites.
  10. Another good thing to read... blogs! Which you are currently doing. Two more to follow if you haven't checked them out already: PF Wait Watchers and Fantasyland Fashion.
Any other suggestions about surviving The Wait? Leave a comment!

formspring.

Can I just say I will be super sad and bummed if I don't make entertainment after answering ALL these questions about it? But all I can do is hope! And I'm glad you are all so interested. :)

Can you post the link of the "friend" of Belle?

Formspring me your email (I won't post it, no worries) and I'll e-mail you. I'm just not sure if she'd want it shared in a public forum, so I want to be safe.

Can you tell us more about why you'd like to be Ariel? :-)

It's a childhood dream of mine - when I was little, I would wish on a star to trade places with her. She could be human and I could be a mermaid. Silly, I know. She's always been one of my favorite princesses and, as a fellow spunky/feisty redhead, I feel something of a connection with her. :)

Your so pretty, i would love to know your daily makeup routine...

I am super flattered by this question. Wow, thank you! I don't do a whole lot in the morning, actually - I use Stila Tinted Moisturizer in Bare because I'm super pale, and then I wear some kind of eyeshadow and mascara, but that's about it. I LOVE Urban Decay's shadows and liners and have been using CoverGirl LashBlast for mascara. My "go-to" look lately has been gold and brown shadows. I just bought myself a shu umera eyelash curler, too, which I'm super-excited about.

Oh! You should definitely check out my new blog, fantasylandfashion.blogspot.com - it's beauty and style tips related to the CP and Disney! I started it with a bunch of other girls, it'll be fun. :)

any questions?

Formspring: Lots of Entertainment questions this time.

How many more days till you audition for character preformer? Do you think you will be ready in time?

I don't have an exact date, but the end of March seems likely, which gives me about 7 to 7 1/2 weeks to prepare. As it gets closer, I definitely plan to increase my practicing (and include animation practice) so I will be ready and confident whenever the actual audition roles around. :)

Where do you get your awesome backgrounds for your blog? Do you make them?

I WISH I had that kind of HTML/CSS savvy! Nope, I use pre-made templates. The one I'm using right now is from Deluxe Templates (http://www.deluxetemplates.net/). I am also a big fan of The Cutest Blog on the Block (http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/) and JellyPages for Disney templates (http://jellypages.com/tag/disney/).

Pleas some info about your character performer auditions! Like where you are going, what your doing to prepare, etc.

I'll most likely be going to the Chicago audition. I'm taking a ballet class here at school and I'm a member of our dance troupe as well. And whenever I have a moment in my room to myself, I do youtube dance instruction videos/High School Musical dance-alongs/Darrin's Dance Grooves. =] It's not much compared to people with YEARS of experience, but I certainly hope it will help!

Have you ever found a face characters vlog/blog?

They're VERY rare! I have never found a vlog, but I have found a "friend of Belle" on livejournal.
